A clear content standard
To qualify for SafeCEU listing as safe or certification, a continuing-education offering must contain neither Israel-related political content nor antisemitic content. Offerings containing either are ineligible. There are no subject-matter exceptions for courses focused on Israel or the Middle East.
What the standard covers
Israel-related political content includes political commentary, advocacy, criticism or analysis concerning Israel, Zionism, Gaza, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict or related political controversies, regardless of viewpoint or claimed educational relevance.
Antisemitic content includes prejudice, hostility, stereotypes, collective blame, discriminatory treatment or denigration directed toward Jews, Jewish identity, Judaism, Jewish peoplehood or Jewish heritage, including required assent to such material.
The standard applies to presentations, instructor commentary, required and recommended materials, videos, readings, case studies, discussions, exercises, assignments and assessments.
Understanding the designations
SafeCEU Certified: a provider commitment has been reviewed and an offering-specific certification is current. Check the verification page for covered version and dates.
Community Recommended: a reviewed firsthand report recommends the offering. This is not certification.
Community Warning: a reviewed concern is recorded separately from the safe directory. It is not eligible for display as safe.
Not Evaluated: insufficient information to make a designation. This is not a finding that a course is unsafe.
SafeCEU does not award CE credit, accredit providers or guarantee scientific quality or acceptance by a licensing authority.
